WordPress/Web2.0 Meetup Berlin

WordPress Meetup Berlin

A little while ago when I logged into my blog, I saw a post by Matt Mullenweg, the founding developer of WordPress, which said that he was coming to Berlin and looking for people to help set up an informal WordPress meetup. I was the first to leave a reply and so I had the pleasure to make reservations at a bar in Friedrichshain for Oct. 9. It was a fun night hanging out with some very interesting and inspiring WordPress and Web2.0 people.

clockwise:

Matt (Auttomatic), Arcturus Ra (Orgone Expert), Janetti Chon (Web2.0 Expo), Karl-Heinz Wenzlaff, Jodi Church (Mister Wong and Lifestream.fm) and Bahne Carstensen (Sixgroups). (Blogtrainer),

Also present where Robert Pfotenhauer and Oliver Hetzel (WordPress Germany), Thomas Alboth (undkonsorten) and many more.

Although I had already been planning this, I am now more than ever inspired to soon add a new category to my blog which will give tips on “blogging for artists”. I am even thinking about doing workshops on the same topic. I know so many talented artists around the world and I want to see them blossom and be able to share their creations with the rest of the world. WordPress, social web communities and  other web2.0  tools make this possible and I wanna do my part in building this new community of Web Artists.
