Mother of Deer

The Mother of Deer is the spirit that is mother to all animals. She gives them life, wakes over them but also selects the ones destined to give their life to humans. She and her male counterpart, the Lord of Animals, are known throughout many cultures. It has always been one of the main tasks of shamans around the world to seek out the Mother of Deer if the hunters would return home without game one too many times. Some use drums, others use rattles or flutes or the whisper of shaking leaves to call the spirit. Meditation, fasting, entheogens, dance, mantras and music are all vehicles to reach the trance state that is necessary to be able to enter the spirit world. Through the wormhole and into the other dimensions one shoots, fighting demons and kneeling before angels, before finally she reveals herself to speak to you:

Will you always honor the animals of this Earth

and thank them that they give you life ?

Will you remember they are your brothers and sisters

and have a soul just like you do ?

Will you care for their children so their tribes can live on

and will you never forget these words and also share them with others?

Then you may go now and tell your people not to fear

for the Mother of Animals is gentle and kind to all her children…. and you humans are mine as well.

It will not be long before all this will end

and all beings of light will remember the truth

No need to fight, no need to kill

but spirits shining and hearts aglow, united in love before the Mother of Deer
