Weekly Exhibit: The “Blue Energy” Series

At the very beginning of this year I got a new look for Kabai33 and one of the cool new things to play with is my slideshow at the very top of the home page. So I started thinking about how to use it and  now the idea is to create a weekly art exhibit!

I’m actually pretty exited about this as it will also help me to post more regularly to my blog which is one of my goals for 2009.  So please,  if  you catch me not posting for more than a couple of days, I grant you permission to come and kick my ass in the comments section!

I’m going to start the weekly exhibits with this weeks Blue Energy Series.

The Blue Series are all photographs I took last fall when I just got my new camera. They are from the same little spot of wilderness where I took the Fire Spirits series. This oasis right in the middle of Berlin is the place where I go when I want to connect to nature. It is also the place where I first connected to Snail Spirit.

Why blue? Well, here it goes:

Blue stands for freedom after feeling imprisoned for a long time.

.

.

Blue is like water that cools the thirsty throat after a long march through the desert.

.

.

Blue are the islands of happiness we will even find in the hardest of times.

.

.

Blue calms down the senses when we feel lost and overwhelmed.

.

.

And blue stands for hope which grows in places you would never expect.

.

.

So what does blue mean to you? What do you feel when you see this color?
